B*tch, I’m a cow – Matching Set

A co(w)ol trend

Remember last year when animal print and especially cow print made a huge appearance out of nowhere? I loved it. Animal print is just something I enjoy so when I started to see matching sets in cow print pop up I knew i wanted to make one. Accidentally I stumbled upon a fitting fabric at Stoffe.de. At that point I had never sewn with a viscose linen mix fabric but definitely was willing to try.

The patterns

I decided to go for thigh length flared pants and a simple sleevless crop top with a zipper. I found my perfect pattern for the pants on the Margaret Trouser by Patterncos. For the top I hacked a standard princess seam block from a sewing book I use regularly for basic cuts.

A big project gone right

This was for sure one of the bigger projects i had done at that point. I had me er even done pants with a zipper and fly before! I finished the set in summer 21 and wore it all summer trough several travels. I had held up mostly great! I have a few seams to touch up soon, but I am still very much in love with how the set turned out <3
